Artist Biography – Susana Fabiani

Susana Fabiani, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an internationally exhibited artist whose practice spans painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and theatrical design. She studied at the National School of Fine Arts, the School of Ceramics, and the National Academy of Theatre in Buenos Aires, training as a stage and costume designer—an influence reflected in her carefully staged compositions and narrative clarity.

Fabiani’s work is held in private collections throughout Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, France, Canada, and the United States, and has been represented by galleries across New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Her exhibition history includes group shows at the Museum of Fine Arts (Avellaneda), Museum of Modern Art in Asunción, Paraguay, and international exhibitions in Montevideo, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Columbia University, New York. She mounted numerous solo exhibitions, including at Wilburt Gallery and La Librería Galleryin New York.

Extensive study trips to Europe, Mexico, and Peru, along with research into Pre-Columbian art and the Latin American avant-garde in Paris, further shaped her refined visual language—one marked by tranquility, balance, and emotional restraint.
