ROCKING CHAIR is a signed limited edition offset print by Susana Fabiani portraying a serene veranda scene with mother and child, rendered in soft pastel tones and romantic realism.

Artwork Description

ROCKING CHAIR is a limited edition offset lithographic print by Argentine artist Susana Fabiani, produced circa the 1970s and published by Mitch Morse Gallery, New York. The image depicts a quiet domestic moment: a woman seated in a rocking chair and a young child nearby, sharing fruit in a sun-washed veranda overlooking a gentle landscape.

Fabiani’s celebrated ethereal romantic realism is evident in the velvet-like flesh tones, sculptural yet atmospheric backgrounds, and a restrained pastel palette accented with soft greens, blushes, and warm earth tones. Perspective is delicately managed to create the illusion of depth and distance, reinforcing the calm, contemplative mood that defines Fabiani’s work.

The print measures 26 × 20 inches, with an image area of approximately 22 × 16 inches, and is signed and numbered 128/500 in pencil. It is unmatted, never framed, and never displayed, with the image area in very good, frameable vintage condition.
