Artist Biography – Susana Fabiani

Susana Fabiani, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, is an internationally exhibited artist whose practice encompasses painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, and theatrical design. She studied at the National School of Fine Arts, the School of Ceramics, and the National Academy of Theatre in Buenos Aires, training as a stage and costume designer—an influence that contributes to the narrative clarity and compositional balance of her figurative works.

Her art is held in private collections throughout Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, France, Canada, and the United States, and has been represented by galleries across New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Illinois, Texas, Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska.

Fabiani’s exhibition record includes group shows at the Museum of Fine Arts (Avellaneda), the Museum of Modern Art in Asunción, Paraguay, and international exhibitions in Montevideo, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Columbia University, New York. She also presented numerous solo exhibitions, including at Wilburt Gallery and La Librería Gallery in New York.

Her extensive study and travel in Europe, Mexico, and Peru, along with research into Pre-Columbian art and the Latin American avant-garde in Paris, deeply informed her mature visual language—defined by tranquility, intimacy, and emotional restraint.
